NM Tech Summit 2026 brings together 800+ leaders across technology, industry, government, research and education
technology ecosystem will gather at NM Tech Summit 2026 to confront a larger question: How does New Mexico turn technological momentum into lasting economic opportunity?
Hosted by the New Mexico Technology Council (NMTC), the annual Tech Summit brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, investors, educators and emerging talent from across New Mexico for a statewide conversation about the technologies, partnerships and workforce shaping the state's future.
“New Mexico has tremendous technological assets, but the opportunity before us is larger than technology alone,” said Beverlie Frazier, CEO of the New Mexico Technology Council. “It is about how we connect innovation with workforce, investment, entrepreneurship and economic development so that the extraordinary work happening here creates lasting opportunity for New Mexicans. Tech Summit brings those conversations and the people capable of moving them forward into one room.”
This year's Summit arrives at a consequential moment. New Mexico possesses an unusual convergence of national laboratories, research universities, scientific expertise, entrepreneurial activity and emerging private-sector investment. At the same time, rapid advances in AI, quantum technology, aerospace, energy and advanced manufacturing are changing how states compete for companies, capital, and skilled workers.
Tech Summit 2026 will examine what New Mexico must do to capitalize on those advantages, and where collaboration across industry, government, education and research will be essential to translating innovation into economic growth.
"The technology community and ingenuity in New Mexico is robust and growing," said Speridian’s VP of Enterprise Solutions, Ashith Vahab. "From the universities, innovators and organizations such as NMTC, to the established companies and start-ups, if you are looking for what technology can bring to society and business, this is the place to be."
Featured Keynote speakers will include Jennifer Sinsabaugh, CEO of the NM Manufacturing Extension Project, Dr. Lonnie Love, Fellow, National Security Programs with Sandia National Labs, Craig Mayberry, Director of Manufacturing Planning and Quality at Kairos Power, Michael Messier, Head of Global Business Development, AI & Data Science at HP, Alex Greenburg, Director of Strategic Partnerships at QuEra Computing Inc, and Chrisma Jackson, Director of ND Futures at Sandia National Labs, representing various leadership perspectives across our technology ecosystem. Discussions will explore the technologies and economic forces transforming New Mexico, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, aerospace, advanced energy, manufacturing, commercialization, workforce development and other emerging fields.
“Tech Summit 2026 represents exactly the kind of collaboration New Mexico’s technology community needs to keep growing. As a sponsor, a partner, and a member of the board, Extreme Networks is proud to help bring it to life and to invest in the innovators shaping this region’s future.” -Stephanie Zmroczek, Extreme Networks
“New Mexico has an extraordinary concentration of scientific and technical expertise, including capabilities at Sandia that are solving some of the nation’s most complex challenges. Tech Summit provides an important platform to highlight the depth of that expertise and the increasingly significant role New Mexico is playing in developing technologies with national and global impact.” -Jen Gaudioso, Sandia National Laboratories.
Beyond examining individual technologies, the Summit will focus on the connections among them: the talent required to support emerging industries, the partnerships needed to move innovation from research to market, the environment necessary to attract and grow companies, and the opportunities these developments can create for communities across New Mexico.
Attendees will span industry, national laboratories, state and local government, higher education, economic and workforce development organizations, startups and nonprofits, creating opportunities for partnerships and conversations that extend beyond the Summit itself.
For more than 25 years, NMTC has worked to connect these sectors and strengthen the state's technology ecosystem. Tech Summit 2026 extends that mission at a time when decisions surrounding technology, talent, and investment have growing implications for New Mexico's long-term economic competitiveness.
