Fourth Annual Technology Excellence Solution Awards

Bernalillo County Clerk's Office for eRecording (QuickDocs) Solution

The deployment of the eRecording (QuickDocs) Solution has completely automated the management of land and vital records at the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office, making the recording process easy, efficient and cost-effective for customers and taxpayers.

Clearwired for MVP Sport Systems

The MVP system allows coaches, athletic directors and state association staff to manage all aspects of high school sports and activities, including student eligibility, team rosters, tournaments, and student athlete statistics and reporting. The MVP 2.0 system was developed as a configurable product with flexible data model that can adapt to various business requirements at each state association.

Game Production Services, LLC for Cognitive Air Defense Training System (CAD-TS)/Engagement Control Station Simulation (ESC2)

The CAD-TS ECS2 is a tool that allows the instructors at the US Army Air Defense Artillery School at Ft. Bliss to show the correlation between abstract 2D radar views and complex 3D space through challenging scenarios they create. This helps the crews learn how to determine when radar-detected threats are real, and helps lower incidents of fratricide.

Ideum for MT2 Multitouch, Multiuser Table

The multitouch, multiuser table was developed specifically for museum audiences, allowing multiple simultaneous visitors to interact with computer programs and one another. MT2 supports the use of intuitive hand gestures to manipulate images and media items and to interact with computer-based applications, making it a great platform for large computer-based exhibits.

Intel Corporation for Air Economizer Proof-of-Concept

Intel Corporation’s Air Economizer system reduces the need for power to cool large data centers and was developed to make maximum benefit of refurbished space and its constraints. Without a raised flooring system, the team was forced to find other ways to recirculate air, arriving at a unique chimney system for moving hot air quickly, minimizing the need for extremely chilled air at high volumes. Deployment of this Air Economizer proof of concept system resulted in an estimated data center power savings of 67 percent. This is a potential savings of $2.87 million for a 10 megawatt data center.

NM Economic Development, SGI & Intel for Encanto: New Mexico Computing Applications Center

Encanto – a state of the art supercomputer for economic development for use by the State of New Mexico, was among the top ten fastest supercomputers in the world, and remains among the top publicly owned computing resources available. Encanto provides a strategic advantage for New Mexico.

Nuvita LLC for Nuvita

Nuvita has a unique implementation of its wellness program that includes a web-based software component, along with a health program built on sound science and a team of preventive medicine physicians, exercise physiologists, dieticians and technologists. At the core of Nuvita’s wellness program is the myNuvita.com web-based software component. myNuvita.com is written in Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 in C# with a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 backend. The solution is hosted for all corporations and their participants and accessible 24X7 by a web browser or internet enabled mobile device. Each participant receives a personal myNuvita.com account where they download and track their Cardio program, plan meals using easy to use Adobe Flash meal cards, track their meals according to their Nuvita Nutrition program, and follow educational lessons on important health and fitness topics.

SolutionWerx, Inc. for Essentials Employment Experience & Happiness Begins At Work

The software solution that drives both the Essentials Employment Experience and Happiness Begins At Work was developed by SolutionWerx using a combination of Windows SharePoint Services, Microsoft Reporting Services and a website driven by ASP.NET v.3.5. The assessment adjectives are presented to a user via an online web page and when the user clicks submit after checking those adjectives that best describe him or her, complex calculations are used to determine validity of test scores and individual ranking in over 22 scales, such as proactivity, dominance, exhibition, aggression, and more. The user’s scores on the personality scales that are considered above and below the mean, and areas for growth, are dynamically compiled into a report and sent to the user in PDF format.

Ultramain Sytems for eReporting

eReporting allows airlines to create and publish reports for use by cockpit crews and cabin crews on board aircraft using touchscreen computers thereby bypassing paper altogether. eReporting links to onboard data buses to capture needed information that otherwise flight crews must enter from memory. Crews no longer have to fill out lengthy reports after a flight. Accuracy is increased as well as safety and timeliness of reporting.
