Opportunities exist for nominations, sponsorships, and donations honoring New Mexico women and female students in technology.

Nominate a Woman for a Recognition

Nominations are accepted through September 30, 2011. Nominate a woman in technology if she meets any of the following criteria:

  • Women in a technology field who exemplify volunteer service in the community as measured by service to community organizations, leadership in community efforts and/or financial support of community programs.
  • Women in a technology field who have had a sustained career commitment to mentoring, a significant positive impact on their mentees’ careers, and through their mentees have advanced research and development, entrepreneurship and/or growth of young women in a field of technology.
  • Women in a technology field who exemplify an entrepreneurial spirit as measured by innovative business practices, superior use of technology and sustainability in a field of technology.
  • Women in a technology field whose efforts have blazed a trail in a technology profession, and whose pioneering contributions have been outstanding and unique.

Nominate a Female Student for a Scholarship

Education is a key focus of the New Mexico Technology Council. The future of the New Mexico information technology industries depend on college and career ready high school students. In recognition of the vital need for excellent technology education, NMTC and its sponsors will award scholarships to young women in such areas as computer science, management information systems, computer and systems engineering, web and digital media design, among others.

Eligible scholarship nominees are female high school seniors in New Mexico, who intend to start or continue their technology education at any trade school, community college or university in New Mexico. Given the nature of the scholarships, nominees should be seniors who – through their educational and extra-curricular pursuits – intend to pursue a technology-oriented career. To help include more women in technology fields, consider nominating a female high school senior who shows interest and promise in a field of technology. The number and value of scholarships depend on sponsorship of the event.

Become a Sponsor

Your sponsorship allows NMTC to recognize several of the outstanding contributions made by women to various technology industries and support scholarships we have created to help young women who would like to further their technology education.
