3rd Annual Recognition Celebration Honoring Women in Technology Sponsorship Opportunities

The New Mexico Technology Council (NMTC) is pleased to announce sponsorship opportunities for the Third Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology. Your sponsorship allows NMTC to recognize several of the outstanding contributions made by women to various technology industries and support scholarships we have created to help young women who would like to further their technology education.

This year’s event will be held on Thursday, November 4^th, 2010, from 8:30am to 10:30am, at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North. We have two esteemed presenters this year: Martha Burk - Governor Richardson's special policy advisor on women's issues; and Katie Pushor, founder of Inner Capital, a company formed to serve the developmental needs of business and community leaders throughout the arc of their career. The event will be emceed by Katie Snapp, owner of Skirt Strateies, a company that serves women to grow professionally through cultivating tactical skills in communications, building and leading teams, supervising others and managing beliefs about self.

The New Mexico Technology Council believes that inspiring more women to choose technology careers is critical to ensuring that our country can compete in the global economy, that we maximize opportunities for innovation, and that the technology industries are as diverse and creative as the people it serves. Statistics reveal the need for Women in Technology:

• Women make up a quarter of today’s U.S. IT workforce, down from 37 percent in the mid-1980s. (http://www.infoworld.com/d/developer-world/activism-provides-competitive-advantage-it-886).

• The percentage of women corporate officers of Fortune 500 technology companies is 8.9 percent. (http://www.diversitycentral.com/business/diversity_statistics.html#fem_workforce).

Our Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology is aimed at recognizing the exceptional women in the State of New Mexico who are working to reverse these trends.

• Recognition as a sponsor on event advertising (e.g. invitations, website, email communications, news release, media advertising, etc.), with prominence based on sponsorship level.
• Inclusion in the multimedia presentation.
• List of event attendees.
• NMTC Women in Technology Award Sponsor media kit acceptable for use in your advertising.

Titanium Sponsor - $10,000

• Reserved Table for eight guests at the 3^rd Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.
• Guaranteed business category exclusivity in this sponsorship level. First right of refusal for Diamond sponsorship for 4^th annual event.
• Full page color advertisement in printed Program.
• Formal company introduction during event.
• $3,000 cash scholarship to a female student in the State of New Mexico for post-secondary education in a technology field, presented in your name at the event.

Platinum Sponsor - $6,000

• Reserved Table for eight guests at the 3^rd Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.
• 1/2 page color advertisement in printed Program.
• Formal company introduction during event.
• $2,000 cash scholarship to a female student in the State of New Mexico for post-secondary education in a technology field, presented in your name at the event.

Gold Sponsor - $3,000

• Four tickets to the 3^rd Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.
• 1/4 page advertisement in printed Program.
• $1,000 cash scholarship to a female student in the State of New Mexico for post-secondary education in a technology field, presented in your name at the event.

Silver Sponsor - $1,500

• Two tickets to the 3^rdAnnual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.
• 1/8 page advertisement in printed Program.
• $500 cash scholarship to a female student in the State of New Mexico for post-secondary education in a technology field, presented in your name at the event.

Bronze Sponsor - $750

• Two tickets to the 3^rd Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.
• 1/8 page advertisement in printed Program.

Non-Profit Scholarship Sponsor (available to non-profits only) - $600

• Two tickets to the 3^rd Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.
• $500 cash scholarship to a female student of the non-profit’s choice in the State of New Mexico for post-secondary education in a technology field, presented in your name at the event.

This agreement, between NMTC and (insert organization name) (SPONSOR), shall commence upon written acceptance of this agreement by NMTC and shall extend until the end of the NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology.

FOR ITS PART, NMTC will:

• Provide the benefits enumerated on page 2 of this application specific to the sponsorship level selected.

FOR ITS PART, SPONSOR will:

• Sponsor the 3^rd Annual NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology at the Titanium / Platinum / Gold / Silver / Bronze / Non-Profit level (circle one).
• Pay the amount of $10,000 / $6,000 / $3,000 / $1,500 / $750 / $600 (circle one) within 30 days of NMTC written acceptance as a sponsor and no later than October 1, 2010.
• Provide the requisite logo(s) in a .tif, .eps, or .jpg high-resolution file format for use on event collateral materials. Please send files to tamika@nmtechcouncil.org.
• Allow the use of your logos and/or the citation of your company in all references to the NMTC Recognition Celebration honoring Women in Technology through the Effective Date.
• Obtain/Maintain its NMTC membership.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Sponsor may cancel this agreement only in cases of NMTC default.
• NMTC reserves the right to reject or cancel any sponsorship at any time, without explanation and providing a full refund of all monies paid to NMTC under this agreement.
• NMTC reserves the right to suspend sponsorship rights and benefits while any payments are in arrears. Benefits suspension does not relieve the obligation of payment.
• This document represents the whole and entire agreement. And may only be modified by written addendum signed by both parties.
